This manual provides essential safety standards and terminology for the proper handling of pesticides to protect applicators, the public, and the environment. Serving as a foundational study guide, it prepares candidates for the Pesticide Applicator Certification Core exam and meets the training requirements of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). While it establishes core concepts, practical expertise should be supplemented through on-the-job training and advanced category-specific resources.
